ARTIST PROFILE

I grew up in a rural area, surrounded by wild creatures and nature. My love for life itself and wildlife is the inspiration for my subject matter. Formally trained in textile design, I worked as an art teacher in public schools before turning to full-time freelance illustration.I work from my studio in Bloomington, Indiana, as T•L•C Creations - "Art From The Heart", a name derived from my initials, Trudy L. Calvert. Clients extend from the West Coast to New England.

Although still working in natural media, I have made the jump to successful digital illustration while maintaining my particular, detailed style.

I am currently focused on children's picture and science text-book projects, while maintaining a client base in magazine editorial illustration.

I am also available for private client commission work.
